Lecturer of Exercise & Sport Science
I found Western through a former graduate mentor who worked in Kinesiology and then Exercise & Sport Science at Western for a number of years. He thought I would be a great fit for a vacant lecturer position, and following a conversation with Kathleen Kinkema, I packed up my life and moved to Gunnison.
I am a Ph.D. candidate at Auckland University of Technology with my research focused on individualized exercise prescription to enhance training responsiveness. Thus far, I have been able to publish novel findings from Ph.D. research including a publication in Medicine & Science in Sport & Exercise. My other professional interests relate to personalized exercise prescription, improving exercise performance and health outcomes through evidence-based practice, environmental considerations to exercise, and exercise interventions in clinical settings (cancer, cardiac, pulmonary and Alzheimer’s patients).
