Peter Sherman, a Western Colorado University dean, decided four and half years ago that the outdoor industry needed some more leaders and that Western was the school for the job. In collaboration with Luis Benitez, Colorado's outdoor industry chief, Western State has become the first University to offer an Outdoor Industry MBA.
