The Candy Crush series of puzzle games from King is proving to be a better match with gamers in 2018 than previous years, with Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data revealing that players have spent an average of $3.9 million per day across the three games so far this year on the App Store and Google Play. That’s about 7 percent more than the average of $3.6 million that was spent in Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Soda Saga, and Candy Crush Jelly Saga during the same period in 2017.
The original Candy Crush Saga has accounted for the largest portion of daily revenue at an overwhelming 62 percent of the total. Next up is its direct sequel, Soda Saga, which has made up about 31 percent of all money spent on the series so far this year. The most recent installment in the franchise, Jelly Saga, claims the smallest slice of spending at 7 percent.
Altogether, the three games have comprised nearly 25 percent of all spending so far this year among the top 25 mobile puzzle games by worldwide revenue.
